Do some owners of small or medium size companies fall into confirmation bias when confronted with the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR)? Do they favor information that supports their beliefs?
Often I receive calls from company owners and presidents asking if their company must comply withe ITAR but often during the call they question the ITAR, they don’t see how it applies to their company and products.
Well I’m here to state, I stand with them in that question. At AEI we use our aerospace experience and start with looking through the client’e eye, their view. We learn and understand their products and services to know how they are used. It is only then that we use our thirty years plus year experience knowledge of the regulations and aerospace manufacturing to determine applicability.
If you need to understand the ITAR and if it applies to your company, email your questions to mark.stevens@aerospaceexports.com
